Forever Pedalling is an independent bicycle lifestyle store in central Bristol. The store opened summer 2016, and is finding it's feet in the bustling cycling community within Bristol. I'm a big fan of the niche, artistic & aesthetic side of cycling, this shows throughout the store itself & shop branded product releases. Good friend Doktor Bobby is a wizard with paint & has an eye for taking a basic idea & creating a masterpiece with it. He specialises in one-off bespoke bicycle frames, he's got a waiting list as long as my arm, but I knew I wanted him to create a one-off piece of art to go on display in store, as a promotional tool for his work, and a talking point in store.

The basis for this collaboration is a Genesis CdA frame, I chose the CdA as I wanted a frame that represented what the shop is about - getting out & enjoying cycling, whether it's a local road ride, multi day touring or off road adventures. The CdA seemed like the perfect do it all bike, the tapered head tube, disc brakes & multiple mounting points meant it was bang up to date (and on trend) and the larger tubing profiles give the frame some great lines, and a larger canvas for Bobby to work with. The majority of the projects in Bobby's portfolio have been lightweight racing frames, so it's good to give him the opportunity to work on something a little different.

The design has received a great response on social media, with likeness to 80s TV shows like Saved By The Bell & Miami Vice. The colours scheme & pattern I chose were without doubt inspired by the golden age of wild paint jobs & fashion, where mountain bikes used canti brakes, and lycra was anything but black. The base colour is seafoam green, this is the shop's signature colour for our Autumn / Winter 2016 collection, so the frame fits in perfectly in store alongside our recent apparel release.

The store can be found at 32 Old Market Street, Bristol, BS2 0HB Tuesday through to Saturday or at
