Genesis 2018 // Adventure - Multisport Part Two

Vagabond, CdA, Vapour

Wide-ranging and tough bikes that cope with country lanes, off-road tracks and long distance paths just as well as they cope with urban sprawl. Carbon and steel crafted with care to create our most versatile range of bikes.

That sweet middle ground between a cyclocross bike and a 29'er that makes it the best all-around bike one can build.

Tourer, commuter, ruffty tuffy road bike, the Vagabond will happily turn it's hand to most diciplines with as much as a simple tyre swap.

VAGABOND - £1,099.99

Genesis Vagabond

Vagabond is a 'monstercross' bike in the loosest sense of the term; the illegitimate lovechild of a road and mountain bike, a 'frankenbike' that has long been the staple of shed tinkerers, the result of many an experimental 'I wonder if…' spare parts box builds.

Weight: 12.09kg (Medium w/o Pedals)

Vagabond FS

There's good reason why this type of bike is often only the result of custom builds - compatibility. Namely compatibility woes between road and mtb parts. With this in mind we designed the Vagabond to be as accommodating as possible within the design confines (road or mtn chainset/FD). We knew some people would take one look at the frame and want to build it up with a more road-focused (albeit larger tyred) build in mind, others, would see knobbly tyres and mud.

Weight: 3.92kg (Medium incl. F & R axle, seat collar and headset)

Genesis CDA

The CdA takes the best elements from a traditional CX bike, like large clearances, disc brakes & low overall weight to deliver an escape route via the road-less-travelled or the near-perfect commuter with disc brakes and full length mudguard capabilities.

CDA 20 – £949.99

Genesis CDA 20

The CdA blurs the line between the more traditional CX features and a modern Sportive/endurance road geometry - a bonefide modern day Frankenbike with long, stable wheelbase, generous clearances and BB drop, large volume tyres, and an accessible, relaxed geometry. Combined with the cavernous tyre clearances, it helps to ensure that you're only ever a simple tyre swap away from knobbly tyred off-road action.

Weight: 11.04kg (Medium w/oPedals)

CDA 10 – £849.99

Genesis CDA 10

In standard guise the CdA will happily keep pace on the weekend club run, albeit in a bit more comfort than your fellow club mates thanks to the lightweight, supple, fast rolling Kenda Flintridge 40c tyres. However, thanks to the wide range 11-34Tcassette out back (providing a wall-climbing 1:1 gear at the low end) and generous clearances you're only ever a simple tyre change away from off-road action.

Weight: 11.16kg (Medium w/o Pedals)

Genesis Vapour Carbon

That feeling of the icy cold British winter air, water splashing and mud flinging, chains and teeth chattering. It can only mean one thing, cyclocross.

To outsiders this would appear to be an activity for the mentally unhinged, I mean, what is there to like about riding around in shorts in the freezing cold getting plastered in mud? Other than the fact that Belgian beer is involved, more often than not, we’re not really sure of the answer – and yet we can’t seem to get enough of it!

Since it was re-released in its current carbon fibre guise last year, the Vapour has won many hearts. Our intention was to create a bike that was highly capable in competition but just as loveable for trail exploration.

VAPOUR CARBON CX 30 – £2,799.99

Genesis Tour de Fer 30

Race ready, light and durable. The Vapour Carbon CX30 challenges the status quo

We've sweated the details and changed the way we look at CX geometry to create the flagship Vapour Carbon CX30. It's sporting a full Shimano mechanical 2x11 Ultegra 46-36T drivetrain, 12mm thru axel front and rear, and stopping duties handled by RS805 hydraullic disc brakes. An Asymmetric Power Transfer BB (30% wider non drive side) and boxed chain stays all increase stiffness and power transfer for optimum performance when you need it.

Weight: 8.60kg (Medium w/o Pedals

VAPOUR CARBON CX 20 - £2,299.99

Genesis Vapour CX 20

Form meets function as you demand more from your ride.

There is little that Vapour Carbon CX20 will shy away from. A highly durable 24/30T Toray carbon frame with ample tyre clearance (up to 40c), due to lack of seat stay bridge, and 2x11 Shimano 105 mix drive train offers a silky smooth and confidence inspiring ride. The Challenge Grifo 33c tyres on Fulcrum Racing Sport DB wheelset (12mm front and rear thru axel) keeps things planted with and provides intuative handling.

Weight: 8.84kg (Medium w/o Pedals)

VAPOUR CARBON CX 10 - £2,099.99

Genesis Vapour Carbon CX10

A performance carbon frame in a practical well specced package.

The Vapour Carbon CX 10 will open your eyes to a wonderful world of adventure. A 2x10 Shimano Tiagra mix drivetrain and RS405 hydraullic disc brakes and a generous tyre clearance (up to 40C) will have you whipping around in the mud in no time!

Weight: 9.02kg (Medium w/o Pedals)

Genesis Vapour FS

The Vapour Carbon CX shares the same durable mix of 24/30T modulus carbon fibre as the Datum, along with some similar ride characteristics.

Full internal cable routing, Di2 ready, big tyre clearance and 12mm thru axel front and rear is just the beginning. The side split stays at seat tube for added seat tube stabilization, D profile seat stays for vertical ride compliance and an Asymmetric Power Transfer BB (30% wider non drive side for increased stiffness power transfer efficiency) provide the platform for your ultimate CX build.

Weight: 1.72kg (Medium incl. seat collar and headset)
