Fortitude Adventure frame SRP£379.99 / fork SRP£79.99

The Fortitude is our rigid specific mountain bike, you can’t run it with suspension. A relatively slack head angle gives a super stable ride and despite the rigid fork this is a very capable singletrack destroyer.

There is a joy to be had in fully rigid riding, it is a form of mountain biking where you are directly connected to the trail, every shift of your body weight, every dab of the brake lever, every pedal stroke, they all count, it’s a simple but beautiful and rewarding way to ride. In an industry where we are always being sold the latest technology sometimes you just want to escape and it’s amazing just how much fun a rigid bike can be. You will become fast, you will start relying on skills you forget you even had and rather than just charging through obstacles on the latest front or fully suspended bike, you will have to pick your lines, learn how to read the trail again and become a better rider for it.

The Adventure Frameset features horizontal dropouts and a slotted disc mount. A horizontal/track end style drop out is still our preferred method of wheel tension, it’s just the most utilitarian design, with the most weight saving and the least amount to go wrong. Just grab the rear wheel, pull it backwards, tighten the axle bolts, position your brake calliper and you’re away. The frame includes hub gear cable guides for Alfine and Rohloff gear systems.

Features

Non-Suspension Corrected Fork

The short rigid fork keeps the front end nice and low and combined with a low BB it allows us to replicate the great handling of a 100mm 26inch hardtail with the rolling advantage of the bigger wheels.

Flattened seat tube

The flattened/squashed seat tube allows a nice tight wheelbase without having to bend the seat tube. It luckily also gives a clean look and ensures straight tubes throughout.

Mounts and Braze-ons Galore!

The frame has the following; 3 bottle mounts, rear rack mounts, fender mounts and eyelets. The fork features low rider mounts, fender eyelets but also three water bosses on the outside of each leg which can be used to mount bottle cages to the fork or the

Singlespeed or hub geared

Either keep it simple and build the frame as a singlespeed, or equip it with a Rohloff or Alfine to make your perfect expedition bike.
